Vampire Facial

What is the Vampire Facial®?

The Vampire Facial® is a custom-designed procedure that combines micro needling with platelet rich plasma (PRP). Micro needling effectively treats multiple skin conditions, including wrinkles, sagging skin, acne, dilated pores, various types of scars, hyper and hypo pigmentation, rosacea, telangiectasia, milia, keratosis pilaris. It also stimulates angiogenesis, which is the formation of new blood vessels.

When micro needling is combined with PRP and its growth factors, it becomes a wonderful tool to rejuvenate the skin and provide a more youthful appearance.

How does the Vampire Facial® work?

At the start of the treatment, a numbing cream is applied to your skin, and a small amount of blood will be drawn. Then, a special centrifuge is used to concentrate the platelets to get the PRP. The PRP is then applied topically and the micro needling device is used, adjusting it to varying depth of the face.

The micro needling device allows the concentrated platelets to penetrate the skin. The micro injury from the needles starts a regeneration and rejuvenation process that is further fueled by the PRP serum and its growth factors. Since the PRP is prepared from your own blood, there is no risk of any reaction. Essentially, your skin is regenerated with its own blood cells.

What can I expect from the Vampire Facial® procedure?

For people who already have great skin, this can give the skin more of a glow. For patients with severe acnes scars, large pores or brown spots, they’ll notice bigger improvements in the texture of their skin, when getting the procedure done every 4 weeks over a 3 month period.

Benefits of The Vampire Facial® include:

  • The skin "glows" because of new blood vessel formation.
  • New collagen forms in the dermis and lifts and refines the skin.
  • Growth factors work to build a new dermis and epidermis (the outer most layers of your skin) and your skin appears smoother.

Most patients will feel continued improvements in skin smoothness, most noticeable 4-6 weeks after the procedure. During the following weeks, new collagen will form, generating more healthy cells underneath the skin. There is typically a noticeable change in your skin quality.
